Tutor description

The major concepts of the HBM includes perceived susceptibility, perceived severity, perceived benefits, perceived barriers, cues of action and self-efficacy. The HBM assumes that people are rational thinkers and will take the necessary action provided they see the possibility of addressing the health problem, effectiveness of the method used and capability of them taking the corrective action. The family nurse must understand the beliefs of the person then address the issues that make them up. (Glanz et al., 2002)
