Historically, customers are more prone to share bad news about a company than good news. There's not much done to change this. Bad experiences tend to resonate longer and thus may cause a wicked backlash to the organization. A very effective method to counter act this "unwritten law" is to negate bad press. Good customer service seems so simple to most people, however, the vast majority of organization just don't "do it right". There's a big difference between understanding a concept, and putting it into practice.
