This problem of not paying college athletes causes stress on the athletes, because the athletes cannot obtain jobs. Since the athletes cannot receive jobs the athletes which are also students do not have the funds to pay for the things that they need. Eventually that can cause the athlete to decide whether he or she wants to keep playing for their college and it could also be the reason for why the athlete dropped out. Recruitment in colleges for sports has declined over the past years. If the athletes receive some type of compensation sport recruiting would soon increase and the athletes would have a way to support them and they would also increase their effort on the field or court. Many people have different viewpoints for this topic, but the people that do not want athletes to receive money have never been athletes or into sports, so they do not know how the athletes feel; the people that are for college athlete payment usually has a special connection with college sports.The most common reaction that people receive when the topic of paying college athletes comes up is that the college athletes receive enough through scholarships.
