Based on the research conducted in the exploration of this topic and the firms concerned, I am making a prediction as to the outcome of the current expansion, consolidation, and jockeying for position that these companies are currently undertaking. My assertion, which this paper should support, is that within a five year window the dominant player in the field with the greatest penetration and market share will be Google with the Android platform. I will leverage the key dimensions of business modeling as a guide to expose the relative strengths and weaknesses of each firms market play.
