Attentional blinkNameDateThe eyes of human beings do not have capability to look for two things at the same time. For example, if a person is instructed to look for a certain letter passing on the screen, the person will be able to identify that specific letter but will fail to recognize the letter that came before it or after it. The inability of the human eye to identify two things is referred to attentional blink. Attentional blink is directly related to attention. This is because, the human eye will only pay its attention to the objects asked to focus on, hence neglecting the objects that come after the objects that it was asked to focus on (Fox, 2005).Time variations have great influence on a person's attention on objects. The shorter the time interval between the presentations of objects the lower the probability of recognizing the second object. There are several circumstances under which the attentional blink can be eliminated. For example, emotions usually affect a person's attention on an object.
