Tutor description

The Physics (Greek: "Φυσικῆς ἀκροάσεως" or "phusikes akroaseos"; Latin: "Physica", or "Physicae Auscultationes," meaning "lectures on nature") of Aristotle is one of the foundational books of Western science and philosophy.[1] As Martin Heidegger once wrote,The Physics is a lecture in which he seeks to determine beings that arise on their own, τὰ φύσει

OBJECTIVETo determine the degree of dissociation ? and the thermodynamic equilibrium constant (Ka) for acetic acid, HAc at 25oC.THEORYPROCEDURE1. A clean burette is filled with the 0.1M CH3COOH solution.2. The required volume of 0.1M CH3COOH is drained out into each of the volumetric flask and was topped up with deionized water to the calibration mark to prepare a solution of CH3COOH with the given molarities, 0.05, 0.01, 0.005, 0.001, 0.0005 and 0.0001M.3. The digital conductivity meter is calibrated with conductivity standard of 84 ?s cm-1 at 25oC.4. The stirring bar and the conductivity probe is rinsed thoroughly with deionized water.5. The beaker is filled with 50mL of deionized water and the stirring bar was put in it.6. The beaker is placed on the magnetic stirrer.7. The probe is immersed to a depth of approximately 5cm to the solution. The probe is supported with probe holder. 8. The magnetic stirrer is switched on and the electrolytic conductivity of the deionized water at 25oC is recorded. 9. Steps 4 to 8 is repeated with the diluted CH3COOH solutions. It started with the C3COOH solution of lowest molarity followed by the next higher molarity.10. All electrolytic conductivity measurements was made at 25oC. If the values ? of the solutions are comparable to that of deionized water, quantities was corrected as (?-?DI water)CALCULATIONSPreparation of diluted acetic acid, HAc :0.0001 M0.0005 M0.001 M0.005 M0. 01 M0.05 M
