In both cases the groups commit violent act that leave behind victims and property damage designed to bring attention to their cause. Terrorism is the result of perceived grievance by the terrorist group against their government or a foreign government that has fringed on their political or religious beliefs. Economic conditions of a country, restrictions in freedom, seizure of territory, and religious oppression are the common reasons for terrorist groups to form. Domestic terrorist are angered at the actions of their own government while international terrorists may be angered at their own government but also commit terrorist acts in other nations.
