No matter how much one worries about the consequences of continuing with their course of action, they do not have the power to reverse the occurrence of the events of the point of no return. The point of no return is like the moment described by Marx in "Theses on Feuerbach" (Simon and Marx 101, X). They reiterate that a moment of change insociety from civil to human is irreversible; it is a point of no return. In "The Epic of Gilgamesh," there are a number of such moments that point to an event, or occurrence that changes the a character, or the course of the story permanently. Such include the path that Gilgamesh takes through the mountains of Mashu, Ishtar's anger and the death of Enkidu among others. However, there are no moments in the whole story that are as significant as the death of Enkidu.
