If the human population is too large the result will be a depletion of the resources available on Earth. The large population will consume the land, food sources, forest depletion and water sources as well as the destruction of necessary wetlands or ecosystems. Overconsumption due to the larger population will deplete non-renewable resources and renewable resources will be consumed faster than they can be replaced. While many developed countries take precautions to prevent overconsumption, smaller underdeveloped countries are more concerned with survival over preventing future environmental issues. Affect of Excessive Population Excessive population is one of the greatest concerns for the global community. In recent years the Green movement has become a prominent part of the lives of people in develop countries across the globe. Out of the many concerns, such as global warming and the depletion of natural resources, has sprung the effort by many governments cross the world to reduce their carbon imprint. This is difficult when the population on the globe continues to grow threatening the nonrenewable and renewable resources available on the Earth.
