The Leadership ChallengeNameDateCourseInstructorWhen the word "leader" comes to mind, the first thing noted is "honesty". What is honesty? Nurse(2010), "defines honesty as the quality or characteristic of being fair, just, truthful and morally upright". Nurse is exactly right and one has to be honest within themselves before they can be honest with people around them. In order for one to be fair, just, truthful, and morally upright one would have to refuse to lie even if there is a price to pay; at all times make the attempt to treat others they way they would want to be treated themselves, but never disregards negative conduct in others. Someone honest is constantly reliable, faithful, and dependable. This person would do what is correct in spite of any penalty; someone who practices truthfulness, admiration, liability, compassion and apprehension for others. An honest person will not say one thing and do another. Honest people live by the saying "practice what you preach" and expect their followers to do the same. An honest person is morally incorruptible, has values, is of sound heart, and will never let you down. One thing an honest person will always do is tell the truth. It is very hard to tell the truth all the time, but an honest person will not lie to friends, employees, or family. Honest people are not afraid to talk about themselves. They are open people who do not mind if people know personal things about them because they have nothing to hid
