The glass unicorn has a horn before Laura Wingfield and Jim O'Connor knock it off of the table (Williams.803). When the unicorn falls off of the table and becomes a horse when the horse's horn breaks off. When the unicorn lost its horn, the unicorn became a representation of a real animal. The unicorn in time, eventually lost its horn due to Laura and Jim neglecting it (Williams.803). Deception is the unicorn and in reality is an idea that is not true. However, when the deception is gone or the horn, the creature became something which is truth. Likewise, in the drama The Glass Menagerie written by Tennessee Wiliams, the use of deception will never hide the truth. This proposition is reproofed by the following points: Laura's use of deception, Amanda's use of deception, and Tom's use of deception.Importantly, Laura uses deception multiple times and this deception does not alter her results in life. Amanda Wingfield discovers that Laura drops out of the Rubicam Business College without notifying anyone. Amanda inquires about it to Laura and is shocked to find out that her daughter has been walking to the park every day from five to seven, instead of going to class (Williams.722).
