Conceptualization PaperPsychology 496In the United States today, our kids are suffering from school violence. School violence in itself is such a broad area to be researched. The area I would like to propose in this paper is that of school-bullying. In all the areas of school-violence, bullying seems to be the most prevalent. Although school-bullying may not be the most dangerous form of school-violence, it is still a problem, and I aim to seek what causes this phenomenon.PerspectivesBullying has been around since the creation of this world, and has evolved into so many shapes and forms throughout the course of time; but what causes this phenomenon? What factors could make someone a bully, and someone a victim? In a study conducted by Doctor Terry Moffit from the Institute of Psychiatry at Kings College in London, research showed kids at a London school when they were five-years-old and again when they were seven, along with all the factors that influence their lives, to include family and neighborhood. Results from this study showed that a number of different outcomes. The first outcome stated that larger schools held it higher that a random kid would become the victim of bullying; however, larger schools also indicated that there would be less of a chance that a bully would be present, as opposed to smaller schools where bullies were more prevalent. Scientists argued about the outcomes of the testing, because the results were paradoxical
