Summary

In summary, the chapter wholesomely discusses the rise of industries. In the previous chapter, business people were making money from their businesses, and could bank their profits, but this chapter alludes that the profits were ploughed back into businesses. Due to re-investments industries grew and more wealth was created not just for individual investors but for nationals of a particular state. People started using energy and raw materials to create wealth and boost investments, and that pushed the world towards industrialization, and significant economic growth.

Analysis

The chapter essentially presents ideas of how industrial development started. Investments propelled the industrial development, and the businesspeople that had made profits from their business ventures had the willingness to invest their profits. By investing, it became necessary for humankind to industrialize the human societies and that explains why the world is an industrialized global society.
