The Age of Light is a romantic novel by Whitney Scharer. The book is a fictitious representation of the relationship that developed between Lee Miller, the main character, and a famous photographer named Man Ray. The plot of the novel is based on Lee’s ambition to become a reputable photographer (Bausels, 2018). The connection between the two characters begin when Lee moves to Paris to pursue this dream. Although she initially becomes Man’s assistant, their professional relationship gets intertwined with their romantic bond. Lee’s career and life is transformed as she goes from being a model to a photographer, and finally to a war correspondent.
