About the Title

The title of the book, ‘The English patient’ refers to the patient who have been nursed by Hana. He crashed with his little plane, and was found by people of the Red Cross. They called him ‘The English patient’. He’s actually a Hungarian guy but because he flew in an English plane and joined an English expedition in Egypt, so they thought he was an English man.
