Chapter 66

The author continues with the description of the scene of Anna’s family road accident. He describes the character of Anna as a strong, empowered woman. She manages to pull Ed and Olivia out of the wreckage despite her back injury. She remains composed and relentless while she tries to ensure that the family survives the ordeal. The mood for this chapter is sad. The author appeals to the ethos of the audience to be sympathetic of the family’s tragedy. Luckily, after several hours a rescue team arrives. The author creates suspense when he fails to mention whether the family survives.
