Chapter 47 Conflicts Summary
Summary

One of Glennon’s old friends has a conflict of faith because she believes that gayness is wrong, but wants to love Glennon and her family unconditionally. Glennon asserts that she has to choose to believe her Knowing and God inside of her, instead of somebody else who claims to know more of God. She has to choose to believe or to Know.

Analysis

This builds off the previous chapters. Glennon’s friend is proof that beliefs can be cages if they conflict with what one Knows inside of her to be true. In order to be fully free, one must trust herself instead of an outside source of “God”.
