If activists only help the struggling people, the cycle will continue because people that profit from their struggles have not been stopped. However, they also cannot abandon the struggling people to go fight the profiters, because the individual’s problems will continue. To successfully bring about change, people in a position to assist must be actively and simultaneously helping and fighting.
