Analysis

The subjects of ghosts revealed from the complex relation of Cathy and Heathcliff. Catherine is boastfull "Campion" while Heathcliff remains the face of violence and abuse. Linton on the other hand only cared about his comfort. He feared his dad hence made an effort not to annoy him. Without pressure from Heathcliff, Linton would be more useless and worthless. Fear motivated him to make efforts to please Heathcliff. It is difficult to please someone who is never satisfied and has different motivations.
